It’s not every day that Engcomp has a new client ask, “What would it cost to design and build a globe with an 18-foot diameter, that's illuminated and rotates? Oh, and we need to be able to easily assemble it every fall and take it down again in late January.”

Projects are frequently over the budgeted cost and/or behind schedule. Cost overruns are common in infrastructure, building, and technology projects. Engcomp’s President, Jason Mewis, will be co-leading a workshop at the DAAG 2019 conference to address these challenges.

On October 11, 2018, Engcomp formally signed a Legacy Partnership with the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC). At the Spring Treaty Assembly at Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, this partnership was signed, along with the reaffirmation of six other Legacy Partnerships. The event also included a re-commitment by Nutrien of its Indigenous inclusion strategy. In attendance were Chuck Magro (Nutrien CEO/President), Tim Herrod (Nutrien VP Procurement), Nutrien site General Managers and Nutrien’s Diversity and Inclusion Engagement team.

Engcomp's VP Marketing & Technology, Nick Wright, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Saskatchewan (ACEC-SK). Nick has been a contributing member of the ACEC-SK for many years, most recently acting as the Chairperson for the Industry and Resources subcommittee.
