Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK. Primarily remote work with occasional travel to Saskatoon office and ability to travel to client sites may be an option for the right candidate, with strong preference given to local candidates.

If so, we're seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and projects.
As an instrumentation and controls engineer, you will leverage your expertise to lead and support a variety of engineering initiatives across different sectors. From concept to execution, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients and drive business success.
Responsibilities
Design and Development: Lead the design and development of instrumentation and control systems, components, and products from concept through to production. Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create detailed schematics, drawings, data sheets, and specifications.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members. Share best practices, facilitate knowledge transfer, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical engineering practices. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in regulations to mitigate risks and maintain compliance.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, to integrate instrumentation and control systems with other components and subsystems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Canadian P.Eng designation and eligible for APEGS registration.
7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering with a focus on design, development, and project execution principles.
Strong understanding of control system design, including PLC and DCS topology and control narrative/philosophies.
Background specifying industrial instrumentation designs, including development of data sheets, wiring/loop diagrams.
Experience with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., CSA, ISA, NEC, IEC, UL).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Key Knowledge & Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in instrumentation and controls engineering design are required for this position. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector, and more specifically potash and/or uranium mining, would be considered an asset. Site experience and other heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position. Low/medium voltage electrical engineering and design experience would be considered a significant benefit.
Salary Range
$91,000 - $133,000
