Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate Electrical Drafter/Technologist to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and revising detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts for a variety of projects. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet all required specifications and standards. Responsibilities
Develop and revise electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using CAD software.
Create detailed electrical designs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review and interpret project requirements, specifications, and sketches.
Conduct site visits and field inspections as needed to gather information and verify existing conditions.
Assist in the coordination of electrical designs with other disciplines such as mechanical and structural.
Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.
Generate bill of materials (BOM), wiring diagrams, and other related documents.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior drafters and technologists.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on technical solutions and design improvements.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
4-9 years of experience in electrical drafting or a related role.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant CAD software.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and design principles.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., CSA, NEC, IEC).
Experience with project management principles and practices is an asset.
Key Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience in a mentoring or supervisory role.
Familiarity with advanced electrical design software and tools.
Experience in coordinating multi-discipline projects and resolving design conflicts.
4-9 years of experience are required for this position. Heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset, especially in the area of mining and, more specifically, potash mining and/or uranium mining. Additional experience with instrumentation and controls would be considered an asset.
Specialized experience in the following software would also be considered an asset; AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Microsoft Access & Office, and VBA. Other programming expertise would be very beneficial.

$75,000 - $107,000
