Your main duties will be structural design engineering. You will be expected to demonstrate leadership and initiative in executing your work. You will be able to tackle a problem independently with supervisory input from lead engineers.
Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a recognized institution
Structural engineering and design
Write preliminary reports with guidance
Liaise with clients, vendors, manufacturers and other disciplines

Key Knowledge and Experience
Less than four years of experience in structural design and engineering is required. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the area of mining and, more specifically, potash mining, would be considered an asset. Site experience and heavy industrial exposure would also be an asset for this position.
This position requires demonstrated strength of leadership and proven time management capabilities. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are essential. A solid understanding of computers and Office software is necessary, including proficiency in Excel. Experience with other software, such as MathCAD, AutoCAD and 3D structural analysis modeling software will be an asset.
Previous technical design experience in structural steel and concrete, or experience leading a small team and/or small projects would also be considered assets.
This position will likely require periods of overtime in order to maintain corporate and project objectives. It is expected that time off will never be taken without ensuring that all of your responsibilities are taken care of and that project needs will be maintained while you are away.
